The holiday season is coming up fast! As we move into the holiday season, we are focused on giving the gift of Hope and Healing and what better way to do that than by getting involved. There are many ways to get involved and help us spread the holiday cheer.
Adopt – A – Family – Families Can be Adopted Starting November 1st, 2023
Our programs assist single women and women with children who are survivors of domestic violence. Supporters can adopt families within our shelter in addition to those that are supported by our S.T.E.P.S. AfterCare Program. The families in our AfterCare program have achieved safe, permanent housing and are still being supported by TWSH as they continue to heal from abuse. You can adopt a single woman or an entire family. Sign up here to adopt families starting on November 1st, 2023.
How it works
We provide a detailed wish list and family profile for each of our families. Sponsors then ‘adopt’ a family and purchase the items on their wish list. Gifts may be delivered to our drop-off location starting on December 4th-December 13th, 2023 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Please do not wrap the gifts, simply put them in gift bags. Remember to include the family identification number on all the gift bags. We distribute them to clients beginning Dec. 18th. For detailed guidelines and suggested spending amounts, click here.
Family information will be available November 1, 2023.
Holiday Wish List
Support our shelter during the holidays by organizing a collection drive at your work, church, neighborhood, or with your family and friends. The items on our wish list are used throughout the year. Download the Holiday 2023 Wish List here.
