Wear Denim With A Purpose
The Women’s Safe House would like to invite to take a stand against sexual assault by joining us on Wednesday, April 26th, 2017 for Denim Day.
What is Denim Day?
Denim Day originated in Italy in the 90’s when the Italian Parliament overturned a rape conviction on the grounds that the jeans the victim was wearing were too tight to have been removed by the assaulter alone, implying consent on behalf of the victim. We encourage you to participate on April 26th, 2017 by wearing denim all day long. We also ask you to show your support by taking a quick picture of you in your jeans and adding the hashtags #TWSHDenimDay and #DenimDay and upload to TWSH’s Facebook page and share it on your timeline.
Give a $5.00 Contribution
Give a contribution of $5 and further your support to survivors and proclaim there is no room for violence in St. Louis. You can also coordinate a Denim Day campaign at your office, school, or organization and rally others to make a contribution of of $5.
Where Does the Money Go
